Columbus REALTORS® is seeking a Government Affairs Manger to assist in our local advocacy and political efforts, working closely with policymakers, public officials, and industry leaders to advocate for and advance our organization's priorities.


The Government Affairs Manager will be responsible for managing and administering local governmental affairs and political fundraising activities for the Central Ohio REALTORS® PAC (CORPAC), in support of the real estate industry on behalf of its membership. Additionally, this position will support the Government Affairs Director in pursuing the association’s advocacy strategies for internal and external audiences, assisting with implementing annual legislative agendas; building relationships with local public and elected officials; monitoring and researching issues and legislation; and educating members on key policy issues. 


Responsibilities: 

·      Serve as liaison to the Central Ohio REALTORS® PAC Fundraising Committee to support member political fundraising goals and plan fundraising events.

·      Maintain a broad understanding of federal, state, and local political issues affecting the real estate industry.

·      Assist with researching and drafting content for newsletters, policy briefings, internal and external presentations, and video updates.

·      Monitor local legislative activity related to priority policy areas.

·      Assist in scheduling and preparing materials for meetings with membership and local public and elected officials. 

·      Assist with the implementation of the legislative agenda.

·      Assist in planning policy-focused learning events.

·      Support and participate in Government Affairs Committee meetings.

·      Ability to attend evening township, municipal, county and other meetings as necessary.

·      Other duties as assigned by the Government Affairs Director and the CEO.
