**About the Job**

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our team at American Municipal Power, Inc. in Columbus, OH or near Carmel, IN.

The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing our presence and influence in the MISO stakeholder process, ensuring our members and subject matter experts are informed about the latest rules and regulations, and providing input on new rule development.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in regulatory affairs and experience working with MISO stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Participate in MISO stakeholder meetings and provide expert advice on market design, transmission operations, governance, and reliability.
  • Establish personal credibility as a knowledgeable expert on MISO rules and processes and build excellent relationships with MISO staff and other stakeholders.
  • Assess emerging issues and develop strategies to influence, interpret, and implement MISO rules and regulations.

**Requirements:**

  • A four-year accredited degree in engineering, economics, science, or business.
  • A minimum of 5 years of utility experience in transmission operations and/or planning, electric power scheduling/trading, transmission tariff analysis, or regulatory affairs.
  • Knowledge of the MISO stakeholder process, Robert's Rules of Order, and software tools such as Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
