Draper James is seeking a dynamic creative who will be a key team leader in the brand's next era of growth.


Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Director of Brand Marketing at Draper James. The role will be a thought leader, responsible for concepting brand strategies and bringing these strategies to life across in-person activations, social/email/print campaigns, site experience, and at point of sale, including at Kohl's. This high-visibility role will report directly to the CEO, will manage 4-5 direct reports, and will own several third-party agency relationships, including PR and digital marketing, to ensure cohesiveness of brand messaging.


This role is located in NYC and will require a minimum of two days/week in our midtown office, with occasional travel related to content production. At this time, only candidates based in NYC will be considered.


Typical Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

  • Strong project management skills and experience in creative asset production (i.e., managing content budgets and calendars, coordinating with talent & influencers)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret creative performance in performance marketing channels and make data-driven decisions, including pivots, when necessary
  • A passion for fashion and lifestyle marketing; up-to-date understanding of industry trends and best practices, KPIs
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; experience leading a team, coaching direct reports
  • A strong grasp of the Draper James brand and excitement to help us evolve it
