We are currently partnered with a $50B AUM Real Estate Fund that is currently looking to expand their real estate acquisition team. The firm in know for having a strong reputation within the real estate space and providing a wide breath of products to their clients.


This Real Estate Acquisitions Associate will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities across real estate acquisitions, secondaries, and co-investments. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in real estate investment analysis, market research, and transaction execution to drive value for our clients and contribute to the continued growth and success of our real estate investment platform.


Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Proactively identify and source attractive real estate investment opportunities, including direct acquisitions, secondary market transactions, and co-investment opportunities.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, property inspections, and legal review.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop detailed financial models to evaluate the potential returns and risks associated with real estate investments, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and investment return metrics.
  • Investment Analysis: Conduct thorough investment analysis to assess the investment thesis, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and potential value creation opportunities.
  • Transaction Execution: Lead the execution of real estate investment transactions, including negotiation of terms, coordination of legal documentation, and management of closing processes.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage existing real estate investments, including performance tracking, portfolio analysis, and ongoing asset management activities.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with real estate owners, operators, brokers, and other industry participants to source investment opportunities and stay informed about market trends and developments.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and external clients, providing updates on investment activities, performance, and market insights.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • 1-4 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or related field, with a focus on real estate transactions and investments.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
  • Deep understanding of the real estate industry, including market dynamics, asset classes, and investment strategies.
  • Proven track record of executing real estate transactions from sourcing to closing, with a demonstrated ability to drive successful outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, external partners, and clients.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Location: New York, NY

Comp: $120k - $150k on the base + Bonus (All In: 200k - 225k)

Work Environment: Hybrid (4 days in office)
