The Construction Coordinators shall receive direction from the Fiber Optic/Telecom Network Construction Manager. Contractor shall perform the following job functions:

  • Perform work coordination, including “look-aheads” of construction activities.
  • Monitor construction work in progress for proper quality control and advise on corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist the Contractor in coordinating construction work to ensure project schedules and objectives can be met
  • Verifying construction adherence to VT Transco Standards with the latitude to

introduce, document and implement minor construction changes to accommodate existing field conditions

  • Participate in routine project team meetings and/or conference calls
  • Lead / Participate in the daily job site tailboard providing an overview of the work planned for the day and addressing the required safety topics.
  • Verify all materials, adherence to client standards, validation of as-built information, construction contract execution, contractor performance, contractor labor on-site, and contractor labor hours.
  • Assuring correct material is available by monitoring the receipt, issuance, distribution, control and return to inventory materials not utilized on construction projects
  • Verify contractor unit quantities against construction documents
  • Assemble and file and/or validate all project “as built” data and photos. All information regarding the final as built will be recorded using the client's Engineering standard forms
  • Verifying contractor labor and equipment on-site and contractor labor hours
  • Monitoring all field testing and construction data implementation
