Telecom Lineman Crew Lead

Job Summary

Centerline is seeking a highly skilled Telecom Lineman Crew Lead to join our team in Vermont. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technicians in the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure
  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Responsible for all crew paperwork and documentation
  • Delegating work within the crew and taking a leadership role
  • Ability to read maps and design, run assist wheel and figure 8 fiber
  • Can hook and climb poles successfully, assemble stock
  • Can build strand, load a lasher, lash cable and fiber and perform basic pole transfers
  • Stock truck with stock for the day's job assignment
  • Check oil and do VIR before every shift
  • Responsible for general organization of truck and cleanliness of truck
  • Accountable for the advancement and training of anyone on the levels below
  • Conscientious regarding the safety of him/herself and others on the job site
Qualifications
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screens
  • Must possess and continue to possess a valid driver's license and pass random driver's license screenings
  • Ability to make independent judgment and perform repetitive tasks
  • Regular contact with co-workers and customers
  • Within 90 days of start date, take and pass OSHA-10 Certification
  • Must be able to take and pass, and continue to pass a DOT Physical
  • Travel required
Work Environment
  • Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 80 lbs continuously
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity
