Electrical Engineer

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team, playing a key role in the design, development, and testing of implantable neuromodulation devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while contributing to groundbreaking therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for implantable medical devices, including circuit design, PCB layout, and system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, and clinical teams) to optimize device performance.
- Develop and execute verification and validation (V&V) protocols, including bench testing and preclinical testing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including IEC 60601-1 (Medical Electrical Equipment) and ISO 13485 (Quality Management for Medical Devices).
- Contribute to risk management activities, including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Maintain detailed design documentation to support regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA, CE Mark).
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design challenges during development and manufacturing.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering, neuromodulation technology, and medical device standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design for Medical Devices
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, including IEC 60601-1, ISO 13485, and FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR).
- Experience with low-power and/or mixed-signal circuit design.
- Knowledge of neuromodulation or implantable devices is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration and regulatory documentation.
