Electrical Systems Specialist

BlueScope Coated Products is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its maintenance team. As a member of the BCP Maintenance team, you will be responsible for directing the design and installation of new or replacement electrical, mechanical, and automation equipment.
This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, with the ability to collaborate with other staff to provide plant-specific technical expertise to projects. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process equipment improvements utilizing reliability-based maintenance philosophy.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the design and installation of new or replacement electrical, mechanical, and automation equipment.
- Assist in the development of standards for reliability and guidelines for engineering and maintenance activities on said equipment.
- Ensure engineering drawings and technical information are kept up to date for equipment identified.
- Collaborate with other staff to provide plant-specific technical expertise to projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of experience in an electrical engineering role or 2 years of industrial maintenance engineer experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of industrial maintenance engineer experience.
- Heavy Manufacturing experience in the implementation of automation projects with successful cost and performance outcomes.
- Project management experience.
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
