About the Role

As the Fall 2024 MBA Intern (Business Analyst) you will play a crucial role in strategizing and executing upon our strategy, helping us enhance the overall performance of our business. This internship offers an MBA student a unique opportunity to work directly with the Founder and COO to make a meaningful and tangible impact in a seed-stage, luxury marketplace startup environment - as well as contribute to the scale of a high-growth venture.


Key Responsibilities

This position will be comprised of two parts:


Business Operations:  The MBA Intern will serve as the “right hand” to the CEO and COO, executing on ad hoc business needs as they arise.


Projects:  The MBA Intern will be assigned a number of projects to complete over the course of the internship.  These projects will be determined based upon the interests and capabilities of the candidate hired, but could include tasks such as:

  • Business Operations: IN-SEAM is currently reviewing their business operations from end-to-end.  Partner with the COO in the design, implementation and documentation of all related policies and procedures
  • Investor Relations: Support preparation for investor updates, including establishing clear templates and processes for future updates after the conclusion of the internship
  • Fundraising Preparation:  Support preparations for a Series A fundraising process including market sizing, data visualization, and collateral preparation
  • KPIs:  Track KPIs for leadership team members and the business as a whole.  Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Data Collection & Cleaning:  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data from various sources within the organization.  Clean, pre-process, and organize datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Financials:  Support IN-SEAM in maintaining the financial model, forecasting, and budget management


About You

  • Training and knowledge of metrics and data-driven approaches
  • Exceptional verbal + written communication and reporting skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in technology, startups, and venture capital
  • Strong knowledge of luxury market, relevant brands, retail, and business trends
  • Reside in the NYC metro area (1 day in-office minimum per week)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
