Job Description

Required Education & Experience:

• Four-year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related Engineering or Engineering Technology curriculum

• 4+ years of relevant design, development, or project management experience


Required Technical Skills:

• Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc)


Required Soft Skills:

• Ability to be a self-starter with strong technical leadership skills

• Ability to communicate technical information effectively

• Excellent written and verbal communication one-on-one and in larger settings

• Good interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills to develop a cooperative working relationship with others inside and outside of the department

• Proven ability to perform complex assignments, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously


Desired Skills:

• Expertise using Teamcenter, ProE, Pro-Cable, and CREO (ProE Schematics) software.

• Familiarity of electrical standards and certifications including SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), ANSI (American National Standards Institute), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association), UL (Underwriters Laboratories), RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive), and CSA Class 1 Div 2 (Canadian Standards Association) requirements


Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Project management of resourcing activities

• Project management of new supplier onboarding activities

• Aid new and current suppliers with component availability issues

• Aid in identification of harnesses suitable for resourcing

• Understanding supplier capabilities and align with business awarded

• Understand and track demand signals


Interaction with team:

• Communicate projects and results to management, purchasing, and order to delivery teams


Work environment:

• Hybrid work with approximately 60/40 time in office and remote work

• Less than 5% travel. Any travel would be to a supplier within 3 hours
