Are you a graduate with a passion for continuous improvement and industrial engineering? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can see the direct impact of your work on production efficiency and quality? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you

At Forvia, a global leader in sustainable mobility solutions, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at the Chattanooga, TN seating plant. In this exciting early-career role, you will have the chance to contribute to the improvement of our plant processes, support the implementation of Faurecia Excellent System (FES) standards, and develop your skills in industrial engineering and lean manufacturing.

What You'll Do

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will support the plant’s FES & P Manager in deploying and maintaining the Faurecia Excellent System (FES) across all plant operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • FES Methodology & Standards Implementation: Help drive the plant’s continuous improvement journey by actively applying FES principles and tools on the shopfloor. You'll assist the management team in ensuring FES standards are correctly followed every day, contributing to higher efficiency and quality.
  • Coaching & Training: You will have the opportunity to coach and train plant personnel on continuous improvement methodologies. You'll transfer your knowledge of FES principles to empower teams, creating a culture of learning and growth across the plant.
  • Process Improvement: Using your engineering skills and FES experience, you'll contribute to the development of the site’s improvement plans, working closely with the plant management team to identify and solve process inefficiencies. You’ll be hands-on in executing improvement activities directly on the shopfloor.
  • Collaboration: You will report to the Plant Manager and work closely with Division Senior FES Specialists to ensure you're always up-to-date on best practices and group standards. By liaising with colleagues, you will be able to refine and adapt processes to suit the specific needs of the Chattanooga plant.
  • Commitment to Excellence: We pride ourselves on the highest ethical standards. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will adhere to Forvia’s Code of Ethics and Management Code while championing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
