JOB TITLE: Outside Sales Representative - REMOTE
DEPARTMENT: South Sales Region
REPORT TO: Regional Sales Director – South Central Region
Must reside in the Houston, TX area
BENEFITS & INCENTIVES: Car allowance, paid vacation, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, 401k, and a discretionary bonus program issued twice a year.
SUMMARY:
To increase market penetration in assigned geographical territory within accordance of company sales targets and marketing strategies
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide training and support to distributor/wholesalers/manufacturer representatives to establish effective sales network
- Maintains close relationships with distributor/wholesaler/manufacturer representatives network to determine competitive sales trends, competitor activities and competitor pricing
- Successfully manages territory KPI's to hit company goals and targets.
- Utilizes SalesForce for daily and weekly reporting, as well as, other aspects of doing business within the TOTO organization.
- This is a travel position with responsibility for South Texas and Louisiana. Overnight travel is required.
- Develops and maintains relationships with Architects, Designers, Plumbing Engineers and Developers to help with specifying TOTO on high value projects.
- Works directly with Hospitality, Commercial Office, Builder, Condominium, Higher Education, Developer and Mechanical Contractor markets to promote TOTO within their new construction and renovation projects.
- Develops and maintains sales pipeline for medium to large construction projects and pursue through engineering, architectural, general contractors, designers, etc. to quote job.Follows up on quotes to obtain orders
- Investigates customer complaints of defective product or unsatisfactory service and recommend appropriate action necessary to resolve complaints; Follows complaints to satisfactory conclusion between customer and company
- Maintains up-to-date information concerning sales prices, availability of product, production schedules, profit contribution, sales policies, sales trends, and status of current orders to meet marketing objectives and assure the company satisfies customer requirements to greatest practical extent
- Reports any information as to a change in the financial status of customers
- Maintains memberships and participation in selected associations and affiliated industry groups
- Ability to travel out of state for Tradeshows and/or Company meetings on an as needed basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in sales, marketing or related field, plus at least (3) years of industry experience.
- Must reside in the Houston, TX area.
- Ability for overnight travel is required to service customers.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills
- Ability to positively influence people
- Must be detail oriented
- Strong ability to multi-task and maintain confidentially
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
- No supervisory responsibility
FINANCIAL/BUDGET/RESPONSIBILITY:
- Prepares Monthly expense reports
- Daily/weekly sales reports
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY:
- Daily and weekly reporting
