Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to join our team in our Cleveland. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to travel as needed to support our geographically diverse facilities. This role requires someone capable of managing and growing a team across different locations. The candidate should be prepared for a long-term commitment, supporting our current 300 employees, with the potential to support 500 employees within the next two years.


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT service operations.
  • 7+ years of experience in system solutions delivery.
  • 7+ years of experience managing a team of technical experts.
  • Strong organizational awareness, with the ability to rapidly develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of IT and its business and technology partners.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, project coordination, and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with VMware, Office 365, Intune, VPN, Firewall maintenance, Windows Server, and SQL Server.


Job Purpose:

The Information Technology Manager will provide visionary leadership and management of technology systems and services, aligning them with the company's mission and goals. This role involves planning, purchasing, development, implementation, and maintenance of all applications, infrastructure, security, and networks. You will build and lead an IT operations organization focused on meeting customer SLAs while balancing internal back-office support needs. Success in this role requires effective cross-location and departmental collaboration, as well as the ability to lead a team accountable for service availability, reliability, quality, capacity, and security.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a technology roadmap to achieve business objectives efficiently.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to understand business imperatives, establish priorities, and guide the vision for an agile, high-performing team.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to build a scalable, modern platform aligned with business needs.
  • Support Structure Management: Determine the optimal support structure for systems, managing both internal and external teams, including outsourcing partners.
  • Service Management: Oversee the management of services, including measuring, reporting, and tracking customer satisfaction, SLA variances, and service performance; continuously seek opportunities to improve IT/IS service quality.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation to support infrastructure management.
  • Security Management: Ensure the security of current and future technology.
  • IT Systems Management: Manage all aspects of IT systems, including long-range strategy planning, annual roadmaps, team resource management, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team, including hiring, performance management, work assignment, and training.
  • Budget Management: Create and monitor the technology budget, ensuring allocations are accurate and expenses are within budget limits.


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based, with travel required to company subsidiaries and potential acquisition sites for due diligence.
  • Occasional weekend or evening work is expected.
