Quality Manager - Casting Manufacturing Plant
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team, a leading casting manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality, implementing and maintaining robust quality management systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective Quality Management System.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with procurement to assess and manage supplier quality.
- Conduct supplier audits and establish quality standards for incoming materials.
Employee Training and Development:
- Provide training to manufacturing personnel on quality standards and procedures.
- Foster a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization.
Quality Metrics and Reporting:
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality metrics to management.
Customer Interaction:
- Act as a liaison between the quality department and customers.
- Address customer concerns and collaborate on quality improvement initiatives.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of quality-related activities.
- Maintain quality records in compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager in a casting manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of casting processes, materials, and quality control methods.
- Familiarity with relevant quality standards and certifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Proficient in using quality tools and statistical analysis.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
