Medical Records Specialist

Job description
A Medical Records Specialist is responsible for obtaining and maintaining client records. The ideal candidate for this position has knowledge of medical terminology and a high level of organizational skills. This candidate should be proficient in Excel, be able to thoroughly review medical records as well as identify any billing and lien discrepancies. Insurance and lien experience a plus
Medical Records Specialist Job Responsibilities:
- Request, organize, and thoroughly review medical records.
- Analyze billing records and health insurance data.
- Maintain spreadsheets with pertinent information, treatment timelines, and patient health data.
- Identify and resolve issues with lien carriers.
- Maintain an organized system to ensure timely retrieval of client records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Excel.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Ability to work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, highly organized.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: up to $40,000 per year
