This position is vital to the success of our company’s manufacturing practices.  The Lean Process Engineer will is responsible for implementing and improving manufacturing processes utilizing basic lean manufacturing techniques. The ideal candidate will exhibit a “consultative approach” when implementing lean processes.  

 

This position reports to the Engineering Manager.


ROLES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Design and optimize manufacturing layouts to improve workflow and minimize bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean practices and reduce lead times
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate personnel on lean manufacturing concepts and techniques
  • Conduct time studies and implement improvements to reduce cycle times and increase throughput
  • Monitor and track data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing processes and provide solutions to prevent future occurrences.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or technical
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Process Engineering
  • Proven years of experience in Manufacturing
  • Experience with Six Sigma, ideally as a Black Belt or equivalent
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial, or assembly processes 

The candidate for this position will be responsible for monitoring the operations of our systems, including quality and compliance. The candidate should also be able to recommend improvements to the process through the tracking of metrics and reporting of data. The candidate should definitely have strong technical abilities in order to succeed in this role.
