Insight Global is seeking a Tax Manager to support our CPA advisory firm client in Tysons, VA. THis person will be joining their Real Estate and Construction team delivering tax and business advisory services and tax compliance to real estate and construction clients. You will work side-by-side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business as well as utilize your experience to help develop junior staff's technical and professional skills. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and providing services pertaining to accounting, bookkeeping and prepared or compiled financials.
  • Reviewing and analyzing accounting records and/or reporting with clients, providing analysis and consultation, and communicate with client to discuss accounting and business matters
  • Delivering best-in-class customer service to clients at all times, with an emphasis on being responsive, timely, professional, and accurate
  • Leading and planning client engagements and continuously evaluating processes and procedures within the client services and implementation functions with emphasis on implementing efficiencies and identification of internal control issues
  • Providing recommendations for business and process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client’s operations, processes, and business objectives
  • Managing and building client relationships, acting as liaison to address and resolve client issues, and assisting team leaders in researching and providing additional services to client
  • Effectively delegating and overseeing the work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles, and scheduling deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery
  • Maintaining current knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws
  • Assisting with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensuring client profitability targets are met
  • Utilizing your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community
  • Investing in your professional development individually and through participation in firm wide learning and development programs
  • Supporting the growth and development of team members, helping associates meet their professional goals


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Masters or advanced degree desirable
  • CPA or JD required
  • 3+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm specifically working with real estate or construction clients
  • 1 year of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
