We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of defense electronics projects, from conception through deployment, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Bascom Hunter provides solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Aerospace markets across various disciplines. Our BH Tech division currently provides products and services across four product lines: RF Systems, RF Components, Neuromorphic Processors and Photonics.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the planning and implementation of project initiatives, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the defense industry.
  • Solid working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership managing people.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
