PDM Documentation Control / Quality Control Specialist
Kingfisher Company Inc. (KCi) is looking for an PDM Documentation Control / Quality Control Specialist with a strong background in doc control process to join our Lowell, MA R&D team. Position Summary:
As a PDM Documentation Coordinator - Quality Control, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate and compliant product data management documentation, which is essential for the success of our business. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
PDM Documentation Management:
- Manage and maintain the Product Data Management system, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
- Create, review, and update product documentation, including specifications, technical drawings, bills of materials, and related records.
- Coordinate document control procedures, versioning, and data change requests.
- Own, maintain, and continuously improve the ECR/ECO process
Quality Control:
- Ensure manufactured products adhere to company quality standards
- Perform quality control checks on product documentation to verify its compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
- Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors in documentation and work with cross-functional teams to address and rectify them.
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of product documentation.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and quality control best practices.
- Ensure that all product documentation meets applicable regulatory requirements and company-specific quality standards.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers, to ensure accurate documentation and data integrity.
- Provide support in the creation of new documentation as products and projects evolve.
Training and Documentation Improvement:
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for personnel involved in documentation processes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline documentation processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Education & Experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar role. Associates Degree or higher is preferred but not required with relevant experience.
- Prior experience in product data management, documentation control, or quality control is preferred.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations and quality standards.
- Proficiency in document control software and PDM systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
