This organization is in the process of building its Marketing team and seeks a hands-on marketer who is passionate about brand development and local marketing initiatives. They are looking for a proactive, organized team player who can work independently, as this role involves reporting directly to the CEO and driving growth.
The Marketing Manager/Director will play a crucial role in formulating and executing marketing strategies aimed at boosting brand recognition, acquiring new customers, and enhancing the company's reputation across central Arkansas. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of how smaller companies function and possess the confidence to make a significant impact within the organization.
Duties will include:
- Drive the execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy to grow the customer base, build brand awareness in the communities, and define the brand.
- Project manage key marketing programs from project brief to measurement: ensure programs land on time and align to expectations; coordinate and support internal and agency resources; report on progress, blockers, and results to the leadership team
- Build an impactful social media program that grows awareness, engages new and existing customers, and highlights involvement in local communities.
- Manage and optimize the company website, ensuring it is user-friendly, supports campaigns, and effectively drives traffic and conversions. Use WordPress and other applications to manage the site; develop tests to improve engagement and results; and drive SEO.
- Oversee customer acquisition programs in new and existing territories using a mix of internal and agency resources. Continually design tests to improve results and drive momentum. Work closely with Sales to analyze lead quality and programs to optimize marketing funnels across target audiences.
- Oversee engagement in local events to enhance brand awareness, engage with the community, and drive customer acquisition in target markets.
- Write impactful copy and create basic graphics for the website, social, campaigns, newsletters, press releases, and other collateral.
- Manage the marketing budget and reporting. Use analytics to measure marketing effectiveness, ROI, and recommend adjustments to strategies to improve results.
Ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably Marketing Communications
- A start-up, get-it-done mindset, and experience working in smaller companies
- Experience managing internal teams, agencies, and contractors
- Experience with social media platforms, strategies, content marketing, event marketing, and local engagement
- Experience with budget management and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
Must currently be located in the Central Arkansas area.
