As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant at IBJI, you will:

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising physical therapist, adjusting as necessary to meet patient goals.
- Deliver high-quality care in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress in compliance with IBJI guidelines.
- Communicate regularly with supervising physical therapists regarding patient status and treatment adjustments.
- Assist in supervising rehabilitation technicians and administrative staff as needed.
- Ensure compliance with billing policies and ethical practices.
- Maintain an active state license through continuing education.
- Foster positive relationships with physical therapists and physician teams.
- Participate in IBJI-sponsored programs, including mentoring and community outreach.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Illinois license to practice.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Current CPR certification.
- Physical capability to lift over 25 pounds and maintain proper body mechanics.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency in computer usage for documentation and communication.
