Position: GIS Analyst

Duration: 12MO Contract

Location:Louisville, KY 40203

Shift: 1st (8:15AM-5:00PM) M-F HYBRID, 3 days onsite 2 remote.

The first 3-6 months is fully onsite for initial training


Top Requirements:

  • Associates or BA Degree in GIS (Geogrpahic Information Systems), Geography, Computer Science, or related
  • 1-2+ years professional experience working in ESRI software (GIS Mapping Software, Location Intelligence & Spatial Analytics)
  • Professional Experience digitizing lines, shapes, polygons, etc.

Plusses:

  • Professional Experience in a public utility company or company in the public sector
  • Experience with ArtMap Pro, ArtMap, Art Catalog
  • GIS Certificate

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Insight Global is looking for a GIS Analyst to report out of the corporate headquarters in Louisville, KY. This GIS Analyst will join the GIS team of 7 others and will work towards the primary goal of supporting a large public utility project. The goal of this project is to digitize 225,000 residential properties in the city. This individual will be digitizing these footprint rooflines, and any space where water will not hit the ground. Additional responsibilities will be working in spacial data creation, working in lots of data, polygons, and shaped features. The ideal candidate will an interest in GIS and growing their GIS skills as they will be working to accelerate the completion of this project.
