What You'll Do:


  • Origination of new car, tank and freight equipment sales transactions, maintenance and other services as they relate to new and existing equipment
  • Deliver customer solutions across Trinity’s platform including bringing correct resources to maximize revenue and generate new business opportunities
  • Drive accountability and liaise with Operations, Engineering, Financial and Systems groups to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Be able to manage an account from an operational perspective along with warranty, marketing and car management
  • Utilize Salesforce and other systems to maintain strategic data and contribute to future business initiatives
  • Participate and support Structured Finance Group including secondary markets, sales and purchases of equipment
  • Must have the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Maintain internal relationships with travel requirements (30%-50%)
  • Be able to report detailed findings based on observations in the field


What You'll Need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, Finance or Business required/MBA preferred
  • 12+ years overall experience in sales with concentrated experience in heavy industry, B to B sales and leasing (Experience in Class 1 commercial/operations plus private railcar fleet experience highly preferred)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Rail industry knowledge and general understanding of railroad equipment
  • Public speaking for presentations and meetings required
  • Technology savvy – experience with Salesforce preferred
