The North Shore Public Health Collaborative (NSPHC) seeks candidates for the position of Regional Community Health Worker (RCHW). The RCHW will be part of a shared services team that works to build the capacity of health departments in NSPHC member communities: Beverly, Danvers, Lynn, Marblehead, Nahant, Peabody, Salem, and Swampscott. The RCHW role will be providing health education, engaging local communities, and supporting various public health programs.


Responsibilities

  • Organizing community forums and outreach events to provide health education and seek community input on public health issues and projects.
  • Conducting outreach to community members at community events such as farmer’s markets, festivals, and other locations.
  • Developing communications materials for NSPHC’s social media and regional website, as well as individual NSPHC communities as needed.
  • Participating in planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation efforts to improve community health and achieve health equity within and across NSPHC communities.
  • Presenting educational materials publicly through meetings, presentations, and written materials.
  • Providing individual care coordination and referral to community resources. 


Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public health or related field and 1 year of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience. Additional experience ay be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NSPHC communities and local resources.
  • Ability to speak a second language that reflects NSPHC demographics.
