Product Development Coordinator

The Product Development Coordinator will possess both creative and analytical competencies, and the ability to create and develop new product concepts and will be responsible for supporting the development process from ideation to launch. The ideal candidate is a project manager at heart that maintains a high level of organization, demonstrates strong communication skills, thrives in high-paced environments, and has a passion for cosmetics; and an aptitude to function within deadlines while working both independently and as a part of a team is essential.
Task, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiate, track and execute all stages of product development from new product initiation to completion of production for all new product launches
- Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional team members to see projects to fruition, including Sales, Operations and Creative
- Create and distribute comprehensive Product Development Briefs which includes launch concept, formula direction, shade direction, packaging direction and target costs
- Maintain upkeep of product library, standards, and lab submissions
- Coordinate samples for retailer meetings, photography, etc. and evaluate/organize 1st Production Finished Good
- Support the sales team by providing necessary documents/information for products registration
- Track and review all product artwork
- Communicate with all vendors regarding assigned product development projects
- Conduct market research, track key trends and the competitive environment, and participate in brainstorming meetings for new product concepts
- Perform other assigned projects and functions as directed by department supervisor and management
- Perform other duties as needed and directed by management
