A premier manufacturer is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the facilities maintenance team and spend 70% of the time on facilities and 30% of the time on operations maintenance. The Facilities Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:


  • Lead, coach and develop direct and indirect reports while promoting a safety-focused culture
  • Maximize and improve the utilization of the company CMMS
  • Champion the annual maintenance budget by preparing, monitoring and evaluating the budget status on a quarterly basis
  • Oversee all facilities maintenance, including HVAC, utilities, lawn care, snow removal, scrap and waste removal, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Maintain and improve site ticketing system and preventative maintenance program
  • Propose and manage 3-6 CapEx and facility projects at a time
  • Identify area of training improvements
  • Work to improve machine guarding and arc flash best practices
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to the maintenance team, which will include downtime, MRO cost, etc.
  • Lead cost reduction and inventory analysis for the MRO areas
  • Overseeing all site cranes and forklifts, including overseeing purchases and leasing, as well as maintenance
  • Approve and manage all facility vendors and contractors and approve service contracts
  • Ensure document management, including invoices, etc.
  • Read blueprints as needed and utilize AutoCAD for work cell and plant layouts
  • Complete needed documentation in a timely manner
  • Other duties directed by management


Candidates should enjoy working at a desk 80% of the time and being a contributor to a team oriented environment. Qualified candidates will be able to lead others and hold them accountable, enjoy project management, be detail oriented, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work on multiple projects at a time. REQUIREMENTS for the Facilities Maintenance Manager:

1. Minimum of a high school diploma; a Bachelor's degree is preferred

2. At least five years of experience in a similar facilities maintenance management role

3. Experience supervising maintenance team members

4. Experience with project timeline and budget management

5. Experience overseeing contractors and/or vendors

6. Basic mechanical aptitude

7. Strong documentation skills, including work instructions, training documentation, skilled matrix, etc.

8. Experience working with a CMMS and/or ERP system

9. Microsoft Office



Skills preferred but NOT required:

1. Experience overseeing an annual budget

2. Capital equipment projects

3. AutoCAD

4. Experience with ticketing systems

5. Production maintenance support
