Overview:

SkillStorm is a dynamic and rapidly growing company in the technology and workforce solutions sector. We pride ourselves on our innovative approach and commitment to excellence. As we expand, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our team and contribute to our financial success.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, including billing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and facilitate the audit process.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification desired, not required.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a growing company or start-up environment is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
