Key Responsibilities:

1. Vendor Communication:

• Engage in daily communication with vendors to discuss status updates on part machining processes and design reviews.

• Collaborate with vendors to address any issues or modifications related to the design.

2. CAD Design and Mold Development:

• Utilize NX CAD software (or transferable skills from SolidWorks, Pro E, or Creo) to design molds for knee and hip implant products.

• Ensure that all designs meet stringent quality standards.

3. Foundry Process Development:

• Work hands-on within the foundry environment to oversee process development activities.

• Troubleshoot any issues arising from tooling or foundry operations.

4. Validation Documents:

• Develop validation documents to validate and verify the manufacturing processes.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

5. Fixturing and Tooling Design:

• Take responsibility for designing fixturing or additional tooling required for manufacturing processes.

• Collaborate with other engineers to optimize tooling designs.


Must Haves:

• 2 years of hands-on experience with wax injection tools; familiarity with rubber or plastic molds is beneficial.

• 2 years of CAD software such as NX; candidates with SolidWorks, Pro E (Creo), or other transferable skills will be considered.

• Foundry experience is essential; whether as an operator, engineer, or quality engineer – understanding of foundry operations is required.


Plusses:

• Experience within the medical device sector is highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of ABB programming will be considered an asset.

• Familiarity with Windchill PDM software would be beneficial.
