Maintenance Engineer

Responsible for operation and maintenance of all interior and exterior lighting, kitchen equipment, swimming pools and equipment, ice machines, air conditioning equipment, plumbing fire control equipment, and guest room repairs.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
- Perform all assigned preventative maintenance work (complete all guest rooms every 60 days).
- Perform all assigned work requests on all electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment. Use hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing devices to test, diagnose and repair equipment.
- In order to detect malfunctions and repair equipment must be able to dismantle equipment and install working parts.
- Make structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings patch or replace plaster/plaster board, paint walls, ceilings, and trim. Cut and lay flooring (linoleum, tile, carpet, etc.)
- Record utility readings and equipment readings daily and maintain current period readings in maintenance office.
- Clear clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures. Connect water supplies and drainage pipelines and perform simple wiring and maintenance repair.
- Re-Key guest rooms as required.
- Remedy guest complaints within 30 minutes. Notify Front desk Manger or General Manger for proper follow-up if necessary.
- Report daily to the Chief Engineer or maintenance and areas of concern of the hotel.
- Maintain all maintenance space in a clean and orderly condition.
- Be prepared to clean sidewalks and entrances to the hotel of ice and snow when necessary.
- Wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the standards of appearance.
- Be able to move luggage or packages weighing up to 50lbs.
- Employee must adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
- Other duties as assigned, of which the associate is capable of performing.
