Responsibilities

  • The Network Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructures for our clients.
  • Configure and deploy network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, ensuring proper connectivity and integration
  • Optimize network configurations and protocols to ensure efficient data transmission and reliable connectivity
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely resolution
  • Conduct root cause analysis of network incidents and implement preventive measures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures
  • Document network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities to facilitate knowledge sharing
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and firmware updates to ensure network reliability and security
  • Provide guidance and mentorship, sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Monitor ticketing system and respond timely to escalated Incidents and Service Requests
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Implement security measures across hardware and software in accordance with company and client requirements, updating associated documentation as needed


Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Network Engineer Position
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting network hardware and software including but not limited to Routers, Switches and Access Points
  • Experience with different vendor gear including Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, and others.
  • Experience with Cisco and Fortinet are required
  • Experience with, Meraki and Fortinet are a plus
  • Previous experience working for an MSP a plus
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, security, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Success in leading and managing large, complex projects with multiple phases
  • Excellent interpersonal, written (grammar, spelling, format), and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively handle shifting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to develop alternative solutions to problems, comparing and analyzing data and measuring results
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network environments
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools
  • Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and industry trends
