This position will provide the opportunity to participate in the implementation and support of our next generation data center, LAN/WAN and cloud architectures. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of network design and implementation, campus design and cloud deployments. This is a prevailing wage site.

Requirements:

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Ensure problem resolution for all Network and Voice related Level 2 & 3 Service desk tickets are resolved and communicated in a timely manner.

Assist in ensuring maximum network uptime for all sites which includes performance and outage monitoring.

Assist in configuration, design, implementation, management, and standardization of network and voice hardware and software (Wireless Networks, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Voice Equipment, Content Filter, VPN)

Work with service providers for circuit repairs, turn ups, and disconnects

Suggest design changes for network systems that include router, switch and firewall configurations and implement new internetworking projects in response to business needs.

Troubleshoot and document network problems and issue resolution.

Assist in creating and updating Network as-built diagrams and documentation

Create end-user training materials

Assist the Network team in completion of assigned projects and/or tasks.

Racking, cabling, and labeling of network switches


  • Associates /Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred, or minimum of 3 years’ experience in infrastructure/network environments, network engineering (hardware and software), network design, planning and implementing LANs and WANs using the latest technology.
  • CCENT/CCT, CCNA, preferred or 5 years in an IT support role.
  • Knowledge and experience with DHCP, DNS.
  • Strong Troubleshooting and Analytical skills.
  • Some travel to remote sites required. Occasional weekend and off-hours work may be required.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking and the ability to lift files, boxes, and other materials up to 50 lbs., unassisted.

Preferred:

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager suite (Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Cisco Expressway).
  • Experience with Cisco CLI preferred.
  • Experience configuring and managing Cisco hardware.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of TCP, IPv4, Routing Protocols and related network services.
