Must-haves

Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Design Engineer to support a large engineering solutions company in Indianapolis, IN. This resource is going to be responsible for the design of commercial room lighting layouts. These include commercial electrical systems such as front end power distribution, audio visuals throughout the room, etc. or commercial mechanical systems such as piping, HVAC distribution, ducts. Common clients include healthcare and higher education. You will be designing commercial room lighting layouts.
The primary design tool that is used is Revit, but our client is open to candidates with experience with other tools as well.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Project Team to develop and document the design elements of projects
- Work with Clients to ensure referenced documents such as backgrounds and structural elements are up-to-date and are correctly presented
- Work with clients to ensure documentation is consistent and uniform throughout.
- Coordinate system design elements in the model with all construction elements to ensure constructability
- Perform quality checks of documents for consistency prior to submission (Drafting Checklist)
- Work with Chief Engineers to improve SES Standards and Practices
- Design tasks, included but not limited to:
- Ductwork layout and sizing.
- Piping layout and sizing.
- Plumbing layout and sizing
- Circuiting
- Lighting
- Data
