We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lighting Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience in the lighting industry, with a strong background in LED lighting and advanced manufacturing techniques. This role will involve designing, developing, and testing lighting products to ensure they meet the highest performance and quality standards. 


Responsibilities

Design and Development:

·      Design and develop innovative lighting products, focusing on existing and new LED technology.

·      Create detailed electro-mechanical designs, including schematics, layouts, and 3D models.

·      Perform simulations and analyses to ensure designs meet specification requirements and industry standards.

Project Management:

·      Manage and oversee multiple projects from concept through production.

·      Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Delivery, third-party manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing.

·      Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Technical Expertise:

·      Apply advanced knowledge of LED lighting technology, thermal management, optics, and driver electronics.

·      Utilize advanced manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.

·      Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Testing and Validation:

·      Develop and execute test plans to validate product performance and reliability.

·      Analyze test data and implement design improvements based on findings.

·      Ensure compliance with relevant safety and performance standards.

Documentation and Compliance:

·      Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, shop drawings, test reports, and user manuals.

·      Ensure all designs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Mentorship and Leadership:

·      Mentor and guide junior engineers and other team members as the team grows.

·      Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team. 


Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

·      Minimum of 8 years of experience in the lighting industry, specifically with LED lighting.

·      Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and advanced manufacturing materials and techniques.

·      Strong understanding of electrical circuitry and systems related to LED boards, lighting, and construction.

·      Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.

·      Proficiency with Project Management software (e.g. Monday).

·      Proficiency with documentation management software (e.g. PDM).

·      Experience with thermal management, optics, and driver electronics for LED lighting.

·      Experience with regulatory compliance and standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS).

·      Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.

·      Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·      Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·      Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
