IT Support TechnicianSacramento, CASUMMARY:Opportunity with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) that manages networks, computer systems, and vendors for our business clients throughout the US, but primarily in Northern California. The IT Support Technician will have a track record of understanding business desktop, server, cloud, and networking technologies, including Windows 11 workstations, Windows 2016-22 servers, advanced networking, and vendor-specific hardware and softwareRESPONSIBILITIES:Making the user experience the top priorityWorking as a team to administer and maintain production servers and applicationsPerforming support of network routing, VLANs, Windows server, and Windows desktop administration and troubleshooting tasksActing as an escalation point for customer device outages and performance issuesMonitoring alert systems and taking appropriate action as per guidelinesAnalyzing various messages in an event log to affect repairsReceiving escalated service requests requiring an enhanced responseTraining and mentoring other techniciansMember of the after-hours support teamREQUIREMENTS:Four (4) years of experience in similar IT support positionsHistory of network and firewall administration (Cisco, Sophos, Sonicwall)Strong network, cloud, server, and workstation troubleshooting knowledgeExcellent customer service skills (courteous, tactful, and professional demeanor)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to groupsReliable work ethicDesired Skills and Knowledge:Windows server technologiesMicrosoft 365 and Azure technologiesActive Directory and GPO administrationNetwork switch and firewall technologiesBENEFITS:Flexible VacationBonus Program401k with Company MatchMedical (90%), Dental (100%), Vision (100%)Life Insurance (100%)AD&D (100%)Aflac availableSick PayPaid HolidaysEmployee Recognition PlatformAnniversary Recognition ProgramWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity.
