We are looking for an experienced Sr. Interior Designer to join our growing team in Miami, Florida. You should have experience in all aspects of an interior design project's creative and implementation process and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. If you are eager to push your organizational skills and coordination talent to the limit and grow alongside our team, this job is right for you.


Responsibilities

  • Understand the design project and outline client objectives
  • Prepare, and develop with the team where required, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards, and other documents relating to the design
  • Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase
  • Coordinate with Project Manager through the production and administration phases providing necessary coordination in assuring the integrity of design intent
  • Communicate with specialty consultants, vendors, manufacturers, and internal/external project team members for project design coordination
  • Coordinate with the project team in reviewing submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to assure the integrity of design intent
  • Co-ordinate the internal design team for the project
  • Set and manage timelines for the completion of the interior design projects
  • Source materials and products included in plans
  • Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.
  • Take responsibility for the development of the design and the project with input from the Associate Partner or Partner in charge of key project stages
  • Liaise, where appropriate, with members of the external design team and other associated organizations or companies
  • Seek continuing professional development
  • Thorough knowledge of and compliance with F+P procedures and standards
  • Contribute, or otherwise assist, as required


Requirements & Work Experience

  • Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based
  • Show extensive portfolio of own design work
  • Highly creative, imaginative, and artistic
  • Strong knowledge of the finish material sources required to fully coordinate the finish plans, schedules, and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of the FF+E sources required to fully coordinate the FF&E plans, schedules, and specifications
  • Project management experience
  • Have an Industry recognized diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
  • Able to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
  • Able to integrate design requirements with architecture
  • Able to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
  • Has a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent, lifelong learning
  • Able to manage and prioritize tasks and time efficiently
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks • Willingness to listen and learn from all members of the team

  • Understanding of the designer's role in the coordination and integration of project information and management
  • Able to deal with the management of junior & intermediate designers on the team
