Radio Frequency and Production Test Technician

LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Radio Frequency (RF) and Production Test Technician for our client in the East Brunswick, NJ area. This fully on-site direct hire role focuses on a strong technical background in engineering related to RF and/or DC technologies. This position requires a strong background in utilizing RF testing equipment such as RF power meters and spectrum analyzers as well as strong understanding of DC and RF circuitry. Ideal candidates will have a minimum 1-2 years’ experience within a production of RF technology role most recently within a technological manufacturing environment and a high level of understanding of amplifier architecture. Aerospace and wireless technology experience highly preferred as well as recent college graduates with proven internship experience with referrals.


Salary range: $22.00 - $24.00 / Hour


Responsibilities:

  • Obtain familiarity with all test processes for the production test of RF systems, amplifiers, etc.
  • Oversee, document, and maintain ongoing test procedure documentation.
  • Process forms, electronic and/or hard copy, for each and every test.
  • Utilize the production management system as well as the individual operations required when moving units through the test lab.
  • Test production RF equipment with the lab schedule quickly, efficiently, and per instruction.
  • Perform troubleshooting on RF power technology as needed.
  • Participate and collaborate in production planning meetings where RF test tasks and priorities are delegated.
  • Collaborate with other test and assembly staff, engineers, etc. to address production or test issues that may arise and help mitigate any future issues.
  • Must report any existing or potential risks to on-time delivery to production managers immediately.

Requirements:

  • 2-year degree specialized in engineering – RF Testing.
  • Proven experience with RF test equipment such as RF Power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
  • Proven experience in working in a fast-paced technological production environment.
  • Experience with electronic component-level troubleshooting.
  • Highly preferred - experience working with Antennas, Amplifiers, Duplexers and Filters.
  • Highly preferred - experience in a similar or related field such as cellular communications (3G/4G/5G).
  • Working with Modulation, such as but not limited to: 64QAM, QPSK, BPSK, LTE, WLAN.
  • Knowledge of basic DC and RF circuitry as well as troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
