Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is critical in driving the execution of complex networking projects and ensuring seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, program management methodologies, and a proven ability to deliver on time and within scope. In this program, there are around 15 ongoing projects to manage, making this an exciting and challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional.


Key Responsibilities:


Program Planning and Execution:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor and track project progress, resolving issues and ensuring milestones are met.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to align priorities and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.

Technical Expertise:

  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Leverage networking domain knowledge to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Support the team in troubleshooting technical issues and driving resolutions.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify gaps in existing processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement best practices in program management tailored to the networking domain.


Required Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management or similar roles in the networking or telecommunications industry with total 12+ years of IT experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex technical programs.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Program Management Skills:

  • Expertise in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project management platforms.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence without direct authority.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
