And with a growing fleet of 35 tech-equipped tractors and over 70 dry van trailers, we have the equipment to address line haul needs of our direct customers and freight brokers as well as power-only projects and drop trailer pools. Completed in 2022, our terminal is situated in the heart of Metropolitan Cincinnati with convenient access to all major interstates. Featuring two drive-through maintenance bays, a covered fueling lane, on-site administration/dispatch offices and ample parking for equipment

 

Job Description

·        The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the strategy to build and manage our asset fleet and operations including, but not limited to customer, drivers, and office employees.

·        This position requires relationships with local and regional consolidation centers, suppliers, and partner carriers.

·        This person must be able to proactively identify and communicate issues while also implementing solutions for continuous improvement as they pertain to processes, service, cost, and profitability.

·        Responsible for building a culture based on safety, continuous improvement and employee engagement.

·        Delegate day-to-day responsibilities to leadership team while developing their abilities to problem solve & overcome obstacles.

·        Establish positive relationships with customers & proactively seek opportunities to enhance service offerings (while assisting with new business pricing)

·        Establish compliance of all programs with state and federal regulations, including those imposed by the Department of Transportation (DOT)

·        Address safety concerns and customer complaints promptly

·        Define, measure, and improve appropriate service level (KPIs) 

·        Collaborating with other managers and staff to formulate and implement procedures, goals, and objective.

·        Strong leadership style which moves people to take action - motivates and inspires excellence.

·        Driven, passionate leader capable of carrying the company's vision to a broad range of audiences.

·        Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·        Exceptional organization skills and strong attention to detail.

·        Excellent interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills.

·        Lead and develop a team to enhance performance by setting clear accountable performance measures.

·        Ability to read and understand financial statements.

·        Ability to make effective presentations to groups of management and the Board of Directors.

·        Effective negotiation skills, articulate, strategic thinker, innovative, and open to new ideas.

·        Ability to develop tactical and strategic plans and successfully implement.

·        5+ years' experience in significant level management positions

·        Must have some experience on the asset side of trucking
