The Firm is a dynamic and growing national law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. We are currently seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to join our team in the Florham Park office.


Position Overview:

The Litigation Associate will play a crucial role in managing and assisting with a caseload involving personal injury defense matters. This position requires a high level of legal expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with firm principals to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings.
  • Collaborate with Principals to develop and refine legal strategies for discovery, investigation, case handling, and trial preparation.
  • Provide expert legal guidance to clients regarding their rights, obligations, and legal options.
  • Stay current with legal developments and understand the various disciplines relevant to the cases being defended.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to legal practice as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar; admission to the New York Bar is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a proven track record in both State and Federal Court.
  • In-depth knowledge of business law and an understanding of client operations and requirements.
  • Member in good standing of the state bar(s).
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex legal issues and apply legal principles effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in legal research.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective, collaborative relationships with peers and firm principals.
