Summary/Objective

Regional Product Manager is responsible for the product portfolio and lifecycle. They will manage and support cross functionally business development, innovation, product development, supply chain and pricing.


Essential Functions

  • Be the expert for your fruit and vegetable product categories along the value chain from crop to consumer markets
  • Understand product varieties, supply and demand patterns, customer needs, competition and trends

Identify growth opportunities for your product portfolio in the regional market, evaluate attractiveness for Döhler and associated requirements

Drive potential management together with market intelligence and global business unit team and map assortment against it

Defines and drives the F&V portfolio-driven business development plan for the region

Closely aligns with the regional and global “fruits and vegetable” business unit team on the business development plan for the region

Manage the regional assortment of the b2b product category to ensure it is complete, competitive and profitable

Analyze defined key performance indicators and customer feedback in order to feed that back into the product roadmap

Collaborate with regional market segment managers, regional sales teams, r&d and regional supply chain on the execution of the regional go-to-market strategy

  • Ensure in-house trainings to foster a deeper understanding of the product portfolio and positioning
  • Communicate up-to-date and aligned portfolio updates on relevant media internal and external
  • Support the sales teams by actively engaging in customer visits, projects and briefings to share specific product and market know-how.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary on occasion depending on work load.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in food technology, general business administration or a similar qualification
  2. Successful track record as a product manager or related commercial role in the food & beverage or related industry, ideally in a b2b business environment and/or with a focus on commodities
