Job Description: Child Therapist


We are currently experiencing a high demand for IN-PERSON child therapy sessions catering to children aged 3 to 12 years old in San Mateo, San Mateo County, Fremont, and San Francisco, California. We seek qualified individuals who hold a valid BBS or BOP license to practice independently in California; LMFT, LPCC, LCSW and Psy.D. to apply.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-person therapy sessions with children aged 3 to 12 years old.
  • Able to have family therapy sessions when needed or requested
  • Generate accurate and timely treatment plan, administer monthly GAD7 & PHQ9, ability to get notes in within 24 hours, submit timesheets on time and without mistakes and ability to take notes in session with your laptop. We do not want you spending your weekends trying to catch up on notes.
  • Consult medical personnel, legal authorities, as a mandatory reporter


Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid BBS or BOP license to practice independently in California.
  • Demonstrating in-person expertise in working with children within 3 - 12 years old.
  • Experience or training in trauma-based treatment modalities is desirable.


MANDATORY:

  • This position requires the clinician to have in-person sessions with minors, for licensed clinicians in California, with accreditation from the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.

Quick Results Counseling will take care of the following for you;

  • eligibility and benefits checks,
  • consultation call to see why the patient is coming in,
  • filling out of intake paperwork - ROI, informed consent etc.
  • intakes,
  • scheduling,
  • and billing,
  • marketing - you do NOT have to do marketing - we have a marketing team to bring in patients for you
  • you do not have to deal with billing or insurance companies - we have a 16 person accounting team who will do that for you.
  • You do not need to collect payments, chase clients or insurance companies for payments. Our billing team will do that for you.
  • Our intake team will get ALL of your first session, with a patient scheduled for you.
  • You are able to do split shifts and have a flexible schedule - while maintaining your regular job, if you want to.

  • Able to take directions easily from our intake / administrative / accounting / QA-QI team members.
  • You have comfort in working in-person with children.
  • You want to be in charge of your work hours - flex schedule starting at a minimum of 3 hours hours / week.
  • You pay attention to detail, disciplined, a team player, good at following instructions and work well independently
  • You are tech savvy and can navigate all of the online apps, websites and smart phone.
  • 90% productivity per week.
  • You are comfortable with EHR - Theranest - training will be provided. It is very simple to use.
  • We get clients wanting to schedule within 24 hours. You should be able to respond to OUR emails / texts / phone calls within 1-2 hours, so we can grab the patient for you.
  • You can speak to some of our clinicians who have been working for us for a long time, to ask any questions you may have to gauge if QRC treats its clinicians well.
  • There is currently a demand for weekends - so if you can work weekends, that is a plus.
