Responsibilities

  • Analyze labor and employment issues for business clients to provide counseling for these issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, including matters before the OCRC and EEOC.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on employment-related matters including discrimination, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and legal support staff to ensure comprehensive client service and case success.
  • Experience defending collective to class action case filed under Federal and State law including overtime claims, misclassified claims, minimum wage claims, tip pooling and 80/20 claims and prompt pay act claims.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 5-7 years of experience practicing labor and employment law at a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws, regulations, and court procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
