Merger and Acquisition Project Manager

Understanding or past proof of merging internal IT processes, especially integrating an outsourced helpdesk (they use NTT)


Day to Day:

This PM will join a team of successful program and project managers within Infrastructure, Applications, and ERP systems that previously integrated another local Hospital. This PM is primarily responsible for the Merger and Acquisition of their newest hospital system, and most of this PM’s day to day responsibilities include contract management, budget and finance management, payroll consolidation, and full IT integration with their outsourced Helpdesk. They use Waterfall for their methodology. Travel will be required to be onsite at the new hospital. The scope of the project may change so adaptability and flexibility in their PM approach is key. They will be meeting with stakeholders and need to create buy in from those impacted by the acquisition.

The role in mainly handling logistics for these specific areas related to UMMH transitioning Milford Regional Medical Center and Physician Group to UMMH standards. Including:

  1. Vendor Management – Tracking agreements impacted by the merger
  2. Disposition Milford IS contract to either terminate, re-write on UMMH paper, or merge in to existing UMMH agreements
  3. Update existing UMMH contracts based on the impact of Milford for license counts, maintenance, etc.
  4. Financial Management – Manage the transition of the Milford IS budget to UMMH IS budget
  5. Track expenses that are part of the Milford Operating budget and with the IS Budget and Finance team transition to UMMH IS budget tracking the off set
  6. Support Center – Transition 1st line support from the Milford Help Desk to the UMMH IS Support Center
  7. Timing is key on this transition, as we want the end user experience to not degrade with the transition
  8. OCM & Training – Partner with the Sr. Director of IS OCM and Training to implement the plan, coordinating logistics
