(1) Managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects; (2) Developing program strategy; (3) Supporting business case and various enterprise-wide high-level project plans; (4) Ensuring integration of projects and adjusting project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of Commerce; (5) Communicating with IT leadership, Commerce leadership, and IT Business Consultants to communicate program strategy, direction, and changes; (6) Delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget, and meeting the strategic and business requirements; (7) Tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers; (8) Partnering with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of Commerce; (9) Coordinating communication with all areas of Commerce that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed; and (10) Coordinating status reports and stability of project area work efforts.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

(1) Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or other related field/equivalent work experience; (2) A minimum of ten (10) years of IT and business/industry work experience; (3) A minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience; (4) A minimum of five (5) years in managing projects; (5) A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with IT and project management as it pertains to program areas such as reemployment services and/or community development or equivalent governmental program;. (6) Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools; and (7) A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
