Dynamometer Engineer

Dynamometer System Management (75%):

  • Lead the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of dynamometers and related equipment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on equipment controls, data acquisition, and infrastructure supporting the dyno department.
  • Oversee the operation and performance of emissions benches, combustion air systems, process and chilled water systems, and fire and safety equipment.
  • Coordinate the diagnosis and repair of control interlock systems and gas detection systems.
  • Implement system modifications and upgrades to improve testing capabilities.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime.

Testing Support (25%):

  • Assist dyno technicians during engine testing by providing data analysis and support in engine troubleshooting and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with technicians to identify engine performance issues and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  • Participate in engine testing projects, ensuring data integrity and accurate system operation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in dynamometer systems, controls, and data acquisition.
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of complex systems, including combustion air units, emissions benches, and fire suppression systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and solving engine performance issues.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to oversee system modifications and upgrades.
