Experienced Analyst- Acquisitions and Asset Management

Our fast-growing Real-Estate-Multifamily focused client is looking for an Experienced Analyst who will (i) underwrite and analyze multi-family investment opportunities for a growing portfolio and (ii) support and provide analytical capabilities for the asset management team, using data and insights to drive operating performance. This includes building and developing financial models, analyzing projections and returns, gathering market information, performing due diligence on new investments, and producing and maintaining monthly asset management reports.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


Support the Acquisitions and Asset Management teams with underwriting, financial analysis, market research, and reporting.

Perform financial analysis of acquisition opportunities, including financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and valuation analyses.

Create PowerPoint presentations and investment memos outlining transaction overviews, investment theses, key risks, and market and valuation analyses.

Assist with the acquisition due diligence process, including managing third-party consultants and interpreting their reports.

Conduct market research, track demand and supply fundamentals of student housing markets, and track sales comparables.

Catalog acquisition/investment opportunities.

Produce monthly and quarterly asset management reports and analysis on budgets and portfolio performance.

Complete asset management projects to support strategic initiatives.


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

1-4 years of related experience in commercial real estate investment or asset management, or in a financial analysis role (multifamily or related Real Estate preferred but not required).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Advanced Excel skills are required for detailed financial and cash flow models and analysis.
