You will be instrumental in implementing EHS systems, tracking critical metrics, and establishing local and global reporting processes. Your efforts will enhance safety awareness across departments, fostering a robust safety culture in a new working environment. You will also be responsible for risk assessments, managing risk activities, and overseeing waste management in various areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hazard Identification and Control: Identify potential hazards, propose control measures, and take actions to eliminate or reduce occupational risks. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • EHS Program Management: Supervise and manage EHS programs and controls to mitigate environmental impacts and health & safety risks associated with business operations.
  • System Support: Ensure that appropriate EHS systems and resources are in place, including hazard recognition, evaluation, and control.
  • Procedure Development: Assist in designing, developing, and implementing procedures, programs, processes, and systems that comply with EHS Global Standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Support the development of the Annual Strategic Plan (ASP) by determining and reviewing critical EHS metrics to align with the company’s overall objectives and goals.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background: University degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the EHS field.
  • Training and Communication Skills: Strong ability to transfer knowledge and train local employees. Clear and effective communication skills are essential.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, capable of navigating a start-up environment with tight deadlines and ensuring timely task completion.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Knowledge of team-based problem-solving methods and root cause analysis.
  • Legal and Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with legal requirements, statistical process control, and ISO standards.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.


Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $66,000 to $85,000 (depending on experience)
  • 8% annual bonus, 6% 401k match
  • Benefits include holidays (Thanksgiving, Easter), and shutdown from 12/22 to 1/5 with pay
