Position Overview:

As a vital member of the Hendricks Regional Health Guild, Inc., the Environmental Services Associate plays a crucial role in upholding the cleanliness and safety of our healthcare facilities. This position is dedicated to providing a welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff through meticulous cleaning and maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning Duties:

Implement a systematic cleaning approach to ensure all assigned areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities include:

  • High-level dusting and sanitization
  • Waste disposal and linen management
  • Thorough bathroom sanitation
  • Floor care including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing
  • Conducting inspections to verify cleanliness
  • Restocking supplies and preparing rooms for patient use
  • Executing special cleaning projects as assigned

2. Laundry Management:

Oversee the processing of clean linens, which includes:

  • Sorting, drying, ironing, and folding linens
  • Maintaining an organized linen storage area
  • Conducting inventory checks and managing linen levels
  • Documenting daily linen usage

3. Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept in optimal condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.

4. Professional Standards:

Adhere to the organization's performance standards regarding attendance, training, and departmental meetings.

5. Customer Service:

Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all interactions, ensuring a respectful and compassionate environment for all.

6. Compliance and Safety:

Support regulatory compliance by reporting any incidents or concerns regarding safety, abuse, or neglect.

7. Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and maintain a supportive work environment.

8. Communication:

Maintain open lines of communication with supervisors and peers to address needs and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

2. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
