Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist

Position Overview:


The Quality Compliance Specialist will ensure, support, and adhere to our guiding principles and compliance standards as they apply to Berner’s customers and internal supporting business units. The compliance specialist will participate is various audits that occur at Berner (both internally and externally-customer based) and assist in the audit setup. This individual will report to the Quality Compliance Manager.



Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure, review, and document all necessary paperwork as relates to quality compliance within Berner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other business units with Berner to ensure overall compliance including other areas of compliance.
  • Participate in all GMP Audits.
  • Participate in all internal audits and related activities including CAPAs, RCAs, and Glass brittle plastic audits.
  • Assist and participate in all customer audits along with pre-visit audits, and post-audit follow-up.
  • Ensure all customer specifications are being met for compliance in collaboration with the Compliance Manager.
  • Maintain an active presence on the production floor/in the quality labs.
  • Assist other areas of the quality department along with communicating in the reporting of food safety issues and initiating corrective action.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education/Experience:

  • An associate degree or higher is preferred. Will accept experience instead of a degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in Food and/or Beverage manufacturing – highly preferred.
