IT Support Specialist
Primary function of this support role consists of being a team player while still allowing for individual contributions and responsibility. You will collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues and improve processes, but you will also be expected to manage tasks and handle customer inquiries independently, ensuring high-quality service and problem-solving efficiency.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides first line support for any information technology issues
- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems
- Provides end user support using company issue tools.
- Documents all troubleshooting steps within the ticketing system.
- Performs password resets.
- Supports end user’s electronic devices but not limited to desktops, laptops, tablets, smart phones and applications.
- Ability to escalates critical incidents within team.
- Ticket follow-ups at pre-defined intervals until resolved
- Assist in IT project implementation and infrastructure build out
This is an in-office position that requires a self-starter, eager to learn new technologies and occasional weekend work and overnight travel may be required throughout the year along being on call at least once month.
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience providing technical support to end users.
- General understanding IT troubleshooting (networks, active directory, permissions)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform occasional physical tasks such as lifting / carrying equipment and pulling cables.
